DEL’s expertise is currently being utilized by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control in the formation of the Model Aquatic Health Code. One key technical area being explored by a specially-appointed CDC committee addresses disinfection methodologies. DEL Ozone aquatics expert, Beth Hamil, is a member of this technical committee and is working alongside some of the leading experts in public pool water sanitation. The committee is exploring the types, disinfectant concentrations, stabilizers, secondary disinfection processes or devices, controllers, pH, and water quality testing methods used for pool water disinfection.
